DESCRIPTION:Arts Engagement Program in partnership with Carson City Arts & Culture \nFamily Art Saturdays • April 26th (10:00am-12:00pm)\nArt Activity Topic:  Post Impressionism & Rodin\nPost Impressionism was a predominantly French art movement that developed roughly between 1886 and 1905\, from the last Impressionist exhibition to the birth of Fauvism. Post-Impressionism emerged as a reaction against Impressionists’ concern for the naturalistic depiction of light and colour. \nAuguste Rodin was a French sculptor generally considered the founder of modern sculpture. He was schooled traditionally and took a craftsman-like approach to his work. Rodin possessed a unique ability to model a complex\, turbulent\, and deeply pocketed surface in clay. \nChildren of all ages and their families are invited to explore a variety of hands-on visual art projects that engage and educate. Second and Fourth Saturday of each month 10am-noon.  All ages welcome; children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. \nRegistration through Carson City Arts & Culture • $10 or $8/each for groups of 3 or more that register together.
