SUMMARY:Dana Garrett Artist Reception • November 16th
DESCRIPTION:Hidden Nevada – Photographs from Off the Beaten Track\nby Dana Garrett\n\nMy work is about capturing scenes in Nature that are unique and unseen.  For this collection\, I chose to go off-road and find out of the way locations.  These included 7-Mile Canyon\, Virginia City\, the Virginia Range above the Geiger Grade\, Thomas Creek Trail in the Mt. Rose Wilderness\, and Peavine Mountain. \nI drive Jeeps that are very capable off-road vehicles\, and I drive them responsibly (read this as slowly.). I am not interested in overly disturbing wildlife or damaging my vehicles. \nI like to go where people aren’t.  By off the beaten track\, I mean locations where if I see more than a half dozen people over several hours\, it’s too crowded. \nI shoot both film and digital. I really like black and white as my inspiration for my photography derives from the work of Ansel Adams\, and later Ed Weston. \n\nExhibition Dates: November 15 – 30\, 2024 \nReception Date: Saturday\, November 16th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm \nDepot Gallery Hours:  Friday – Sunday 12:00pm to 5:00pm
