DESCRIPTION:Arts Engagement Program in partnership with Carson City Arts & Culture \nFamily Art Saturdays • June 14th (10:00am-12:00pm)\nArt Activity Topic:  Realism & O’Keeffe\nRealism in the arts is generally the attempt to represent subject matter truthfully\, without artificiality and avoiding speculative and supernatural elements. The term is often used interchangeably with naturalism\, although these terms are not synonymous. \n Georgia O’Keeffe was an American modernist painter and draftswoman whose career spanned seven decades and whose work remained largely independent of major art movements. \nChildren of all ages and their families are invited to explore a variety of hands-on visual art projects that engage and educate. Second and Fourth Saturday of each month 10am-noon.  All ages welcome; children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult. \nRegistration through Carson City Arts & Culture • $10 or $8/each for groups of 3 or more that register together.
