DESCRIPTION:Exhibition Dates – August 7th thru September 3rd\nReception Date – Saturday\, August 21st 12 to 4 pm\n\nVanessa has been a burner since 2015\, volunteering with the Burning Man ARTery and Documentation teams. She was drawn to the images made at night and in the blue hour with long exposures. In 2019 she was introduced to tube light painting\, and now combines long exposure night photography and light painting to create her images of light magic. Her mother told her that her first word was LIGHT.\nThe light painting process is done by moving various light tools before an open shutter\, adding a dynamic variable into the typical photo exposure calculation. As an Electrical Engineer\, Vanessa finds light painting the ultimate in creative problem solving.
