DESCRIPTION:Community of Writers\, Poets\, Illustrators\, Readers\, and Literary Enthusiasts. \nJoin us on Sunday\, November 2nd for the Sierra Arts Literary Community \nTopic:  Praise\, Prompts & Planning \nLiterary Activity: Writing prompts in celebration of the upcoming holidays. During this month of giving thanks\, we will take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank all those who so generously gave their time and talent in hosting a SALC Meeting and/or stepped forward in planning the first-ever Book Fest. With the new year quickly approaching\, a portion of the meeting will be dedicated to soliciting feedback in planning the SALC 2026 meeting topics and professional development needs. \nThe Nevada Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI) will meet at 4:30 immediately following the SALC meeting. \nSierra Arts Literary Community (SALC) is a group dedicated to local writers\, aspiring writers\, poets\, illustrators\, readers\, and literary enthusiasts.  Sierra Arts Foundation has created a dedicated space in the Depot Gallery for literary artists and literary groups within the region to meet\, perform readings\, offer writing workshops\, and sell their published books. \nThe SALC meeting is from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at the Sierra Arts Gallery in downtown Reno – 17 S.
