SUMMARY:Scott Robert Hudson
DESCRIPTION:THE GREAT FLOOD \nAnd other Recent Work \nThis is primarily a laboratory exhibit for a conceptual installation in development\, The Great Flood. I began thinking of this in earnest after finding myself sandbagging the Cedar River during the historic 2008 flood in Eastern Iowa. However\, in addition to the theme of global climate change\, the project soon became layered with the emergent metaphors of migration\, adaptation and faith. \nThis exhibit highlights prototype sculptural assemblages\, renderings and other documentation to offer an insight into the creative process. The exhibit also premiers two other projects: A photo installation Blue Lines (2018) and the Font de Gaume Drawings (2014). \nArtist Reception Thursday\, March 19th\, 6 to 8 pm
