SUMMARY:Searching Beyond the Fence
DESCRIPTION:Searching Beyond the Fence by Brandon Lacow \nSearching Beyond the Fence focuses on queer space and its impact on queer identity. Brandon constructed a domestic box out of cedar fence lumber and photographed members of the queer community inside it. This strategy of building a “home” from unexpected material explores the dichotomy between public and private\, masculine and feminine\, within the context of home and society. Brandon’s goal is to create a sense of comfort and protection within his queer identity through creating physical spaces and objects intended to protect and conceal. \nExhibition Dates: June 5-29\, 2024 \nReception Date: Saturday\, June 15th from 1:00pm to 3:00pm \nGallery Hours:  Tuesday – Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm and Saturday 12:00pm to 4:00pm
