Richard Allen Wells is a resident of Reno, Nevada, but has traveled extensively in Europe, Asia, South America and the Caribbean. His work has been heavily influenced by the explosion of color seen in local landscapes, costumes and architecture.
His Works have been created in a variety of media, including oil, acrylic, collage, pastel, sculpture and assemblage. His recent work reflects his love of vibrant color, texture and the juxtaposition of disparate elements.
Mr. Wells became interested in the fine arts while attending High School in Colorado and continued specialized training in scenic design at Mesa College, Grand Junction, Colorado. One – man shows and gallery exhibitions include The Museum of Arts and Science and The Western Colorado Arts Center, Grand Junction, Colorado: The Ashgrove Gallery.
