The Nevada Arts Council’s Basin to Range Exchange (BRX) is unveiling its first list of projects designed to bring collaboration between urban and rural arts organizations. Each of the 14 projects received Nevada Arts Council grants for $1,200 — $16,800 total — to help move the projects forward.

Sparks grant supports artists and businesses

An art gallery is adding color to Victorian Square in Sparks. The city of Sparks hopes this will attract more foot traffic to the area. It’s part of a community impact grant supported by the city, Nevada Arts Council, and Sierra Arts Foundation. The city said the goal is to have an arts-centered downtown where people could enjoy art pieces and businesses in Victorian Square.
