Sierra Arts Academy Art Instructor

Art has always been part of Carol’s life since her childhood, but formal study in art was only possible after her retirement from Nursing Education. She has studied art at Truckee Meadows Community College, Sierra Nevada College and has enrolled in many workshops with renowned watercolor, printmaking and glass artists from all over the United States.

Carol loves nature, animals, family and friends. Travel is an important part of her art journey along with reading and experimenting in the art studio. She loves to produce art which brings joy into people’s lives. Many of her watercolor paintings were purchased by Turkey Stremmel at Stremmel Gallery in Reno, NV. and are hanging throughout the Renown Medical Center in Reno, NV. Carol loves the creative process and now enjoys teaching others what she has learned over 23 years in printmaking, watercolor, book arts and plein aire journaling.
