Family Art Saturdays March 8 • Cubism
March 8 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Arts Engagement Program in partnership with Carson City Arts & Culture
Family Art Saturdays • March 8th (10:00am-12:00pm)
Art Activity Topic: Cubism & Picasso
Cubism is an art style that depicts subjects in a fragmented, abstracted way by using geometric shapes from multiple perspectives
Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist who revolutionized 20th century art with his innovative use of color, form, and perspective. He’s considered a pioneer of Cubism, along with Georges Braque, and also contributed to Surrealism and Symbolism. His work transcended realism and abstraction, and his graphic and ceramic techniques changed the course of those art forms.
Children of all ages and their families are invited to explore a variety of hands-on visual art projects that engage and educate. Second and Fourth Saturday of each month 10am-noon. All ages welcome; children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Registration through Carson City Arts & Culture • $10 or $8/each for groups of 3 or more that register together. Kids 5 and under free.
