The Magic of Embodied Metaphor: Breaking through Barriers to Creativity

The Magic of Embodied Metaphor: Breaking through Barriers to Creativity is an interactive expressive art workshop for artists and writers to discuss inner blocks to their creative expression. We will guide participants who want to learn self-coaching skills and practices we have found to be most effective at moving through creative blocks. We teach methods for connecting your ideas to an embodied metaphor landscape that brings more intimacy and soul into the the creative process itself. While the workshop and discussion is ideally designed for writers who have a work already in process and are experiencing struggles moving it along, it is not required. Any participant will benefit from the opportunity to share deeply with others about their creative struggles and process in a safe space. They will also learn new resources to uncover and develop symbols, metaphors and stories already held inside of their body and apply movement, art, writing and aesthetic response to their lives.
