UnchARTed Waters Art Lab 3 – February 25th

UnchARTed Waters, co-created by Robin Heywood and Heather Gallagher Smith, is a series of art labs designed for those with developmental disabilities and their families. The artwork is created with the intention of welcoming a sensory experience, a
critical component of many therapies for those with developmental disabilities. UnchARTed creators look at art from many angles and attempt to create a space for permission to play in multiple mediums. From traditional seated art to painting with brooms and other found-object brushes, the lab is always warm, safe, inclusive, and active.
A group art project workshop for all ages with developmental disabilities. Must be accompanied by an adult or guardian, unless adult is living independently. Participants will have a finished art project, as well as, an Art-To-Go kit to take home. Siblings are welcome to join artists with developmental disabilities for the workshop. Please make sure to register each person participating. Please share with anyone you think might be interested.
