Art Activity Topic: Pop Art & Roy Lichtenstein
Pop Art is an art movement drawing inspiration from sources in popular and commercial culture.
Roy Lichtenstein was an American pop artist who became famous in the 1960s for his work inspired by comic books and advertising. His work often explored the relationship between consumerism, advertising, and fine art.
Children of all ages and their families are invited to explore a variety of hands-on visual art projects that engage and educate. Second and Fourth Saturday of each month 10am-noon. All ages welcome; children under 18 must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Registration through Carson City Arts & Culture • $10 or $8/each for groups of 3 or more that register together. Kids 5 and under free.
