Artist Member Exhibition | October 17 – November 7, 2026
Shadows & Light is a special Sierra Arts Foundation Artist Member exhibition celebrating the spirit of Halloween and Día de los Muertos. Exploring the dramatic interplay between darkness and illumination, mystery and beauty, remembrance and imagination, this exhibition invites viewers to discover the many ways artists interpret the visible and unseen worlds around us. Featuring 13 talented Sierra Arts Artist Members, Shadows & Light showcases an eclectic collection of artistic expressions, mediums, and perspectives.
- Aimée Allen explores historical artistic techniques and optical imagery through her distinctive cyanotype works.
- Ken Blinde creates sculptural imagery through carefully controlled fractures within laminated glass.
- Carol Brown specializes in Japanese woodblock printing (mokuhanga), a traditional art form she has practiced for three decades.
- Christine Cremo approaches outdoor photography with scientific curiosity, capturing unexpected beauty and moments of discovery.
- Olivia Cyr is an interdisciplinary artist whose creative practice encompasses drawing, painting, and collage.
- Kevin Facemyer brings his creative perspective to the exhibition through multimedia artistic expression.
- Brian Fee combines found surfaces, figurative imagery, and symbolism, drawing inspiration from Renaissance depictions of the Last Judgment.
- Tia Flores is a pyrography artist whose culturally inspired works celebrate her Nevada and Aztec heritage, weaving ancestral traditions and cultural symbolism into her art.
- Angelena Gilroy captures the beauty of landscapes and wildlife through photography, watercolor, pastels, and colored pencils, inviting viewers to appreciate nature’s intricate details.
- Glenda Mahin transforms found objects and recycled materials into imaginative multimedia works, giving discarded materials new life.

- Shelby Rodriguez creates vivid, figurative oil paintings exploring women’s personal boundaries, societal expectations, and the complexities of caregiving.

Through their unique interpretations, Shadows & Light celebrates artistic exploration, personal storytelling, transformation, and the enduring power of art to connect us. Sierra Arts extends its heartfelt appreciation to guest curator Robin Ruybalid for her creativity, dedication, and thoughtful vision in bringing this exhibition to life.
