As the holiday season approaches, we would like to take a moment to celebrate something truly special… the wonderful literary community that SALC members have built together over the past few years! Through your shared passion for the written word, encouragement of one another, and continued participation, you have created a welcoming, supportive, and inspiring community of literary artists.

With November being a time of gratitude and giving thanks, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity to come together, share a delicious meal, enjoy some literary fun, and celebrate the friendships and connections that make SALC so special.

Due to the Nevada holiday weekend, our November meeting has been moved from the first Sunday to the second Sunday of the month. We have also adjusted the meeting time for this special gathering.

A Celebration of Food, Friendship & the Written Word!

We invite everyone to bring a favorite hot dish or dessert to share as we gather around the table in the spirit of friendship and gratitude. Sierra Arts will provide the table settings, beverages, and bread and butter.

In addition to enjoying wonderful food and conversation, we have a fun literary activity planned that will give everyone an opportunity to reflect on what they are thankful for as literary artists and celebrate the creativity that brings us together.

We are truly grateful for each of you and the creativity, generosity, and enthusiasm you bring to the Sierra Arts Literary Community. Your continued involvement has helped SALC grow into a meaningful and supportive gathering place for writers and literary enthusiasts throughout our community.

We look forward to sharing an afternoon of good food, laughter, literary inspiration, and gratitude with all of you!

Sierra Arts Literary Community (SALC) is a group dedicated to local writers, aspiring writers, poets, illustrators, readers, and literary enthusiasts.  Sierra Arts Foundation has created a dedicated space in the Depot Gallery for literary artists and literary groups within the region to meet, perform readings, offer writing workshops, and sell their published books.  EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
