Watercolor Portraiture with James Gayles
In this two-day workshop with award winning artist James Gayles. Participants will learn to render the human head in watercolor. They will learn anatomy, the proportions of features, how to do shadows and highlights and how to portray emotions. June 7 & 8 from 5:30 to 8:30. In this introductory class participants will practice basic soldering techniques with a torch, use a variety of textures and learn how to set a small stone into a pre-made bezel setting. You will make several rings to either stack together or to be worn alone. Tools will be provided for use in class. All levels are welcome, and no metalworking experience is required.
