Esther is a Reno native, and a local student at UNR studying ceramics and Human Development & Family Studies. She works primarily in 3-dimensional forms but also dabbles in 2-dimensional art. Main themes that are explored in her work are nature, culture, roots, and process. Her current work is in pottery and focusing on the functional form and process over product. Esther is currently one of Sierra Arts interns, and has worked as a studio assistant and photography instructor at an arts based summer camp. She is passionate not only about making art but also about utilizing art in community building and as a tool for education.
