I'm a painter working predominantly in mixed media. My paintings are a mix of wax, oil, acrylic, ink, graphite and various fiber materials. My current work gravitates toward the use of organic shapes by purposely reducing the shapes edges with paint. The organic elements are enclosed in space as if free floating and defined by a solid color. I further apply reductive markings to reveal layers of paint which adds to the depth and interest of my work. The minimalistic nature of my abstracts is my attempt to stimulate a primitive view of art through shape and color.
