Susan Watson describes her paintings as "non-objective" art: abstracts of emotion, ideas and dreams rather than representations or even abstracts of objects. Working with acrylic paint and over-sized tools on large canvas, she uses the elements of texture, composition and a keen eye for color and balance to achieve a tableau without a subject. Her objective is to connect emotionally with the viewer. She lives in Reno, Nevada with her husband Galen and travels to Normandy every year for inspiration.
