Tessa Clawson is an up and coming self-portrait artist. Currently in the Bachelor’s of Fine Arts program at University of Nevada, Reno. Clawson’s work depicts ultra femininity, vaginas, and abuse. In some of her work, she touches upon the double standards women face in Western societies. Clawson wants her emotions to be fully expressed in her work. Her work is bold, triggering, and controversial. Clawson’s mediums of choice are traditional drawing mediums, watercolor, and ink. These mediums allow her to work quickly and capture what she is feeling at that exact moment. Clawson is punchy and opinionated, her work parallels her.
