This deep-dive session demystifies the publishing industry through both craft and data. We’ll analyze the real odds of publication, review current market trends, and examine how changes in the literary ecosystem are reshaping opportunity. We will also unpack the Why Factor, the narrative core that compels readers and agents alike, and provide practical frameworks for overcoming industry barriers and positioning your work competitively.
Danielle attended the Los Angeles film school for screenwriting. She was published through Palmetto publishing with an agent for her YA murder mystery series. Danielle signed with Amazon in the first early stages when they kicked off their platform for indie authors, before KDP. Danielle self published in 2018 and never looked back.
Sierra Arts Literary Community (SALC) is a group dedicated to local writers, aspiring writers, poets, illustrators, readers, and literary enthusiasts. Sierra Arts Foundation has created a dedicated space in the Depot Gallery for literary artists and literary groups within the region to meet, perform readings, offer writing workshops, and sell their published books.
