Sierra Arts Literary Community Meeting • Sunday, December 8th
December 8 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Community of Writers, Poets, Illustrators, Readers, and Literary Enthusiasts.
Join us on Sunday, December 8 th for the Sierra Arts Literary Community Holiday
Gathering. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon with holiday music and treats. We will
also have a White Elephant Gift Exchange.
For the White Elephant Gift Exchange, bring a wrapped, writing/poet related gift with the price
point of $10-15. (Please do not regift a writing resource book. If you don’t want it
and/or can’t use it, no one else probably will/can either.) If you want to give a book, and
you’re a published author or poet, give one of your books. Other inexpensive gift ideas
include pens, spiral notebooks, sticky notes and journal books. Or, you can think a bit
outside the box and gift a scented candle (for relaxation/meditation), an inspirational
photo or maybe a copy of the book which inspired you to start your writing journey.
Sierra Arts Literary Community (SALC) is a group dedicated to local writers, aspiring writers, poets, illustrators, readers, and literary enthusiasts. Sierra Arts Foundation has created a dedicated space in the Depot Gallery for literary artists and literary groups within the region to meet, perform readings, offer writing workshops, and sell their published books.
The SALC meeting is Sunday, December 8th from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at the Sierra Arts Gallery in downtown Reno – 17 S. Virginia Street, Reno. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!
