Exhibition: April 3-24 Reception: Saturday, April 10 1-3 PM In this exhibit, Grace Davis, Tatum Sutliff,and Abigail Penfold present hyper realistic and abstract works on paper, canvas, and plaster casts. Through representations of the body and their surroundings, viewers are encouraged to embrace the now while welcoming moments of the in between. Topography & Tool Marks: Linocuts of the Sierra Nevada an Exhibition by Katherine Case
Exhibition: May 1 thru May 29 Reception: Thursday May 20, 6-8 PM Katherine Case uses the centuries-old traditional methods of wood and linoleum-cut printmaking to celebrate the abundance and diversity of the Sierra Nevada and the Great Basin. Some images are carefully hand-painted while others are multi-block editions. All are printed from hand-carved linoleum blocks. Sierra Arts is currently accepting artist exhibition proposals for the galleries located at 17 S. Virginia Street; Main Gallery, ANNEX and the Small Works Gallery. We have divided the gallery into several spaces in order to feature more artists every month. SUBMISSIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL GALLERIES.
