“I Have a Hunch” Exhibition by Michael Doering
As an intuitive artist, “I Have a Hunch” best describes how I approach my art. I am constantly striving for a lack of resistance in my work while keeping planning and preconceived thoughts to a minimum. I approach creating in a spontaneous manner and allow my inner voice to make decisions on color, medium, titles, and marks on the surface. This results in unfiltered pieces, which are honest reflections of my true self. Exhibition Dates, February 4 thru 27th Artist…

Some works employ methods of painting, printmaking and collage simultaneously. Exhibition Dates - March 10th thru 27th 2021 Artist Reception, Saturday, March 20th, 1 to 5…

Exhibition: April 3-24 Reception: Saturday April 10, 1-3 PM My artwork is abstract and created using mixed media such as oil pastels, ink, gesso, metal foils, tissue paper and collage paper. I work intuitively, letting the piece in front of me suggest the next move. I spend 13 or 14 hours on most pieces...more time if it is large. I work with music playing, usually jazz.
