Ray 'bacasegua' Valdez is an artist, muralist and Tribal member of the Texas Band of Yaqui Indians. His paintings depict how Native American life can be lived in and of traditional ways while still existing in these current times. Topography & Tool Marks: Linocuts of the Sierra Nevada an Exhibition by Katherine Case
Exhibition: May 1 thru May 29 Reception: Thursday May 20, 6-8 PM Katherine Case uses the centuries-old traditional methods of wood and linoleum-cut printmaking to celebrate the abundance and diversity of the Sierra Nevada and the Great Basin. Some images are carefully hand-painted while others are multi-block editions. All are printed from hand-carved linoleum blocks.
