I am motivated to make landscape photographs for many reasons. It is a challenging genre that requires patience and persistence. It takes planning and preparation that is often upset by weather or natural disasters. It ultimately involves a certain amount of luck, or at least being in the right place at the right time. I see it as a form of exercise that is physical and mental. It allows me to practice and stay relevant as an artist and to experience growth and change over long periods of time.
