Join us on Tuesday, May 28th for a reading and signing of the recently published book, Luck O’ The Draw; Irish Gunfighters in the West by Nevada author Karen Wilkes. The book profiles the lives of three noted gunfighters who all intersect in Pioche, Nevada in the year 1870. Luck O’ The Draw is a rollicking tale of Irish gunfighters who roamed the remote vastness of 19th century Nevada.
In a labor of love, Karen Wilkes takes us into her personal search to uncover the hidden history of the notorious desperadoes who populated her hometown of Pioche, Nevada – many of whom ended up in the legendary Boot Hill graveyard Karen could see from her living room window.
Filled with colorful characters who rubbed shoulders with such fabled gunslingers as Wyatt Earp and Bat Masterson.
Karen Wilkes hails from Nevada and is the author of five biographical books about Nevada figures then and now. Karen is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno.
This Book Signing event is FREE and open to the public.
