In 2008, Carol Brown participated in a three-week invitational graphic art workshop, “Back to Basics”, in Basel, Switzerland. She earned a Certificate in Printmaking from the Glassell School of Art, Houston, Texas, and a B.S. in Clothing and Textiles from Oklahoma State University. The Nevada Arts Council awarded Jackpot Grants to Carol in 2003, 2007, 2009, 2017, a Professional Development Grant 2018, and an American Rescue Plan Grant in 2021. She has had several solo exhibitions in Northern Nevada and participated in numerous group exhibits. Her art is in private and permanent collections including Renown Health Art Gallery, Wally World, Western Nevada College, and Camp Galilee, Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
