Growing up in San Jose, CA the green hills and the ocean have been a huge inspiration for my artwork. I have always sketched and drawn since a young age, but was not allowed to paint because it was too messy. The fear that pursuing the arts was a frivolous endeavor haunted me as a young adult. The sciences of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics always drew my interest, and I was good at them. Yet there was always an emptiness in those endeavors. The best thing I ever did for myself was face my fear and take an art class. I haven't stopped since! Some people, yes, they are born with it, but others work very hard for it. They invest time and energy consistently into their passion. I hope I can inspire others to follow their dreams and never give up.
